Omega Author Talks

The Omega Author Talk is our author series, featuring a wide range of writers discussing their latest work. Authors talk about their creative process, applicable trends in their respective markets, and insightful perspectives into their book. The Omega Author Talk project takes approximately one-month from start to finish. In addition, we will select one professional who is part of the Omega Network to interview the author about their book. We will have all of the information and designs shared with the author prior to publicizing on our social media platform and Youtube channel. Interested in reaching your target audience, chat with an Omega representative about publicizing your book today.

Steps to Omega Author Conversation

Now that you are familiar with the Omega Author Talk outline, let’s help you set your scene. Turn on your camera and start looking for a quiet place with good lighting and neutral background. The conversation can take place at your home office or at any appropriate location. If you have a laptop, you can move around to find the best spot!

If you feel nervous about being on camera, conduct a mock conversation with a friend or peer. This will help be able to give you insight about your responses, for instance, lighting and the overall working of your screen and audio. Develop strong eye-contact during a dry run by looking directly at the camera instead of the screen.

We expect that you have prepared, practiced, and determined to share specific insight. But first, provide the Omega Info Team with a reference page of any data, metrics, statistics, that might be useful for our viewers to refer to. This will help alleviate copyright issues and plagiarism.

At the beginning of your conversation, you will see this message: “This communication contains general information only, and none of Omega Consulting LLC, or their related entities is, by means of this communication, rendering professional advice or services…any loss whatsoever sustained by any person who relies on this communication.” We are signaling that all applicable information that is shared is general. If any private or proprietary information is shared we are not liable for any loss from that individual or entity.

The hard work has subsided and now it’s time to celebrate a great accomplishment. Be expressive when you talk but avoid over exaggerating. We are not seeking a corporate ‘fit’ but a conversation among professionals passionate about leadership and advancing the next generation of leaders.
